A set of tones producing a melody, guitar chords can be made up of different notes. Although a chord can be only one note, chords are usually played with two, three or more notes at a time.
Categorically speaking, there two kinds of chords – minor and major. The basic guitar chords are C,A,G,E,D or CAGED. If you are new on playing the guitar, mastering the CAGED chord pattern must be the very first thing you should do. By learning the basic guitar chords FIRST it will help you in the long-run to master your guitar skills, and will help tremendously when it comes time to learn the more difficult chords.
